The Netherlands

The Dutch standards for Smart Metering have been evolving from the NTA 8130, published in 2007 untill the Dutch Smart Metering Requirements 4.0 in 2011. Xemex has been a close contributor to the standardisation in the Netherlands, being one of the main suppliers of gateways in the Dutch market. Today our Dutch modules with serveral Wide Area technologies, fully support the DSMR.

Specific ports of the Dutch standards, supported by our modules are the following;

Port P0:

  • Port accessible through optical interface of electricity meter

Port P1: User information every 10 seconds

  • meter indexes for E and connected M-bus devices
  • delivery status for E and connected M-bus devices
  • Current limitation or E   

Port P2: Wired & Wireless M-bus based local communication

  • Factory mounted, RF Wireless on ISM band (868 MHz)
  • EN13757-4 Wireless protocol (T1 & T2 support)
  • Wired M-bus mini-master

Port P3: GPRS, CDMA450, Ethernet or PLC for WAN connectivity

  • WAN communication using DLMS protocol
  • Internal antenna
  • External antenna connector MMCX

Meter Interface modular meter

  • * E-meter serial interface
  • * Internal relay interface: wired or logical connection to the internal relay of the meter
  • * Relay reset button: relay reset button in cover of meter is interfaced to the module board
