The SCC electricity meter is designed specifically for the Alfen Charging Station. It betters balance through the charging options offered in the app. The SCC is a controller that adjusts charging power based on the Dynamic Load Balancing feature and the selected charging mode.
The SCC can collect data in 2 ways: Method 1 is to extract data from the smart meter through a P1 cable. Method 2 is used when an analog meter is present, the current is then measured through current clamps. In both cases this data is converted to new values based on the settings (chosen by the end user) and sent via MODbus RTU or MODbus TCP. The charging station will adjust its power according to the data from the SCC so that the desired maximum power is not exceeded to avoid peak rates or to make optimal use of the PV panels.
